8.1.23 Callie Patteson of The U.S. Sun didn’t interview me personally but combined stories from multiple sources talking about my settlement over the Leon Valley arrest and other struggles faced when creating public art.

4.2.19 Article by Glenn Evans was picked up by the Associated Press and ended up getting shared in papers across the country. I’m confused if that happened because the story was so good…or because it was part of an effort of getting Longview approved for a Cultural Arts District.

12.12.19 The late Jimmy Isaac covered my wrongful arrest in the new art district a mere eight months after I had been all over the local news as the city, Longview, celebrated my art. This was my first wrongful chalk arrest…and it was in the city I graduated from. I wasn’t given an apology, I was instead taken advantage of and gaslit by the people in positions of power and authority.

1.20.23 Nirali Jayswal of CBS 19 in Tyler, Tx. covered this event that Longview just seemed to ignore…The confederates washed away Martin Luther King’s I Have a Dream speech as I wrote it. After they washed 4 hours worth of it away I returned to spend 8 hours rewriting the whole speech.

Prominent people I looked up to in the community and many who had just been marching in the MLK parade stayed silent about it. Even after I spoke at City Hall they stayed silent about it. Considering the threats coupled with me not having transportation and them not getting any consequences…I decided it was time to hit the road again.

6.20.23 & 7.31.23 Timothy Fanning wrote articles covering the settlement and arrest, but the video is what really helped the story get out there amassing over 2.5 million views on their TikTok account.

2.25.24 I felt like I gave my best interview ever only for the journalist to seemingly write a damage control article after VIA wrongfully detained me one day then wrongfully arrested me two days later.
